In front of a capacity crowd, live on BoxNation, even the snow storms couldn't cool the atmosphere on a white-hot evening of boxing at Walsall Town Hall. Birmingham's Frankie Gavin produced a stylish victory over Jason Welborn to take his record to 15-0 on Frank Warren's – in association with Midlands Promoter Errol Johnson – first show of the year.

Super-middleweight star George Groves is back in action when he defends his Commonwealth title against the tough American based Jamaican Glen Johnson in the main attraction.
Butler and Donnelly fight for British supremacy. With Lee Haskins moving up to bantamweight and vacating the British title, Paul Butler and John Donnelly are England's number one and two ranked super-flyweights. They do battle in Liverpool, which both fighters call home, with the vacated British title on the line.
The main event tonight sees an intriguing battle between the unbeaten young challenger Frankie Gavin and British Welterweight Champion Junior Witter.
Ricky Burns sensationally stopped Kevin Mitchell in the fourth round to retain his WBO World Lightweight championship at the SECC in Glasgow on Saturday night. Once again the fighting pride of Scotland was on peak form, stamping his authority from the start with a brisk jab which quickly reddened the challenger’s face.
