Gary Corcoran 17-1-0 (7KOs) is a Welterweight boxer from Wembley, North London. He made his professional debut at Wembley Arena in May 2011, when he defeated Billy Smith on points. His career has gone from strength to strength from there on, and has racked up 14 successive victories in the meantime, six of which have come by knockout.
Corcoran could not wait to leave the amateur game behind and turned professional at the young age of 21, a decision which seems to have paid off. The 24-year-old who goes by the nickname “Hellraiser” earned his nickname in his last fight when he beat Bolton’s previously unbeaten Rick Godding by unanimous decision at Wembley Arena. This contest came on the Frank Buglioni v Fernando Castaneda undercard. Corcoran has made a habit of winning at his local stadium and will once again make an appearance on September 26th as he fights on another Frank Buglioni undercard.
He has big ambitions and would like to challenge for the British and then Commonwealth titles, and a September 26th win over previously unbeaten Rick Skelton only cemented this position.
