At today’s official weigh in at the RE Hotel in London Shoreditch, British featherweight champion Ryan Walsh and unbeaten challenger Darren Traynor both made the weight on the scales.

Ryan Walsh v Darren Traynor

Cromer hero Walsh and Aberdeen hitman Traynor clash tomorrow night (Friday 22nd January) at the York Hall Bethnal Green, exclusively live on BoxNation.

Walsh, making the first defence of his British title, hit the came in spot-on at 126 pounds while Traynor weighed in slightly lighter at 125 pounds.

Walsh said afterwards: “I feel fit and fantastic, I’ve had a great training camp in Tenerife and it’s all systems go for tomorrow night at the York Hall where I intend on seeing off Traynor and retaining my title to make the first notch of the Lonsdale Belt”.

Traynor said: “I can’t wait for tomorrow night, the British title will be coming back to Aberdeen with me. I fully intend on causing a big upset and ruining Walsh’s plans of winning the belt outright. He’s underestimated me and that will be his downfall.”

The chief supporting bout also weighed in with Ahmet Patterson and Ryan Aston who collide for the Vacant IBF International Super-Welterweight title.

Dulwich’s unbeaten Patterson weighed in at 153 pounds with Dudley challenger Aston also coming in at 153 pounds.
