When he’s not hard at work in the boxing gym, Super-Middleweight prospect Umar Sadiq dabbles in modelling. His latest work involves appearing in a television commercial with English football legend David Beckham.
The advert is for Haig Club whiskey, titled #LeaveAsYouArrive. It plays out in reverse, following Beckham and his friends (Sadiq included) as they leave the bar in the same condition as when they arrived.
“If I told you I hang out with David Beckham you probably won’t believe me. So here’s a video to prove it. Lol I’m playing. It’s a Haig Club commercial,” Sadiq wrote on his Instagram.
Before turning pro, Sadiq boxed for England and Nigeria, narrowly missing out on the chance to box for the African nation at last year’s Olympics. On his pro debut in September, Sadiq outpointed Lewis van Poetsch at the Copper Box Arena in London. He’s back on December 9th.
