WBO World Lightweight Champion Terry Flanagan to make pitch appearance tomorrow at Watford v City match

Manchester hero Terry Flanagan will make a special half-time pitch appearance tomorrow at his beloved Manchester City as they take on Watford in their Premiership clash.

Mad Blues’ fan Flanagan will be announced to the crowd ahead of his massive WBO World Lightweight title defence against Diego Magdaleno on Saturday 10th October at the Manchester Arena.

Flanagan is Manchester first world champion since British boxing great and City fanatic Ricky Hatton and is looking forward to a warm welcome at the Etihad Stadium.

“I’ve been following Man City since I was a kid and it’s a real honour to be asked to go on the pitch tomorrow and I can’t wait to hear the roar of the crowd,” Said Flanagan.

“I absolutely love the club, cut me in half and I’ll bleed blue!  It’s fantastic to know that the club are behind me in my career and are supporting me in the big world title defence on October 10th against Magdaleno,”

“They are at the top of the table and that’s where they are staying for the whole season just like I’ll be holding onto my world title belt as world champion.”
